Hot Pressed Glass

Hot Pressed Glass

Hot pressing glass is a production effective method of producing many similar items in the shortest time.

A simple mould is usually used and molten glass is transferred from the furnace to the mould quickly in order to ensure it flows sufficiently to fill the mould shape. It is then pressed using our old, totally functional and irreplaceable, hand operated press.
Once pressed, the item is removed from the mould and placed into the annealing oven to ensure any strain is taken out of the glass.

Our pressing procedure is used extensively for the manufacture of glass plates for industry.

In all cases we are able to make to your own specifications if required.
